The situation
Every functional and technical decision needs three perspectives: what users need (UX), what is feasible (tech) and what the business wants. When those perspectives meet one at a time, decisions bounce back and forth and time quietly disappears.
What I did
- Introduced UX / Tech / Business triangle meetings: one regular moment where the architects, lead software engineers, a business consultant and the UX/UI designer sit at the same table.
- Put three questions on the table every time: what the solution should be, what is in scope, and whether it is technically viable.
- Ran five workshops on a new way of working and on functional completeness.
- Coaching two colleagues to strengthen collaboration across the team.
The result
The triangle meetings were adopted. By my own estimate, they cut the time spent on functional and technical decisions by 30–50%.
* Own estimate, not a formal measurement.
