Turning EU tax law into requirements, straight from the source

New EU tax rules change what systems must do. I researched the Directive on Administrative Cooperation, went directly to the European Commission for data, and turned the regulation into requirements.

The situation

New tax regulation, including the EU Directive on Administrative Cooperation (DAC), changes what systems are required to do. Someone has to translate legal text into something a team can actually build.

What I did

Alongside this work, I developed ISO-aligned frameworks for performance, scalability, security and availability, and operational risk-management guidelines.

The result

Requirements grounded in the regulation itself and in data from the source, not in assumptions. The ISO-aligned frameworks and the risk guidelines were both adopted by the team.
